Join the Whistler Conservation Society for an adventure in the woods to track – and hopefully spot – the elusive Whistlers in their adopted habitat. The Whistlers live deep in nature, far away from the modern world. Explore their culture and the close symbiotic relationship they have developed with birds. If you’re lucky you will catch a glimpse and hear the extraordinary whistling language as you observe these extraordinary people at close quarters. You’ll be led on a path through the woods so dress to explore!

Based in Bideford, Red Herring specialise in outdoor, interactive performance that blurs the edges between performance and audience. Always fun, comic, curious and considered, they take a sideways look at the world we live in and encourage people to experience familiar places and familiar stories in unfamiliar ways.

Tickets are £3 per person and are available here. Please note, online sales end a few hours before the event starts, so after 11am on the day, please phone Claire on 07952982255 to check availability before turning up without a ticket.

Location Info:

Please note this is not Symonds Yat by the river, it is the Forestry England Pay-and-Display Car Park at Symonds Yat Rock (see map below). This Car park has limited numbers and is very popular, especially over a bank holiday weekend. Please allow plenty of time to find a spot or use public transport if possible. Parking on the road is not permitted.
