The Cosmos Within Us

Come and join us for a song writing project exploring grief through our connection with nature and the night sky.

Led by our Creative Community Champion Olivia Preye and Eco Shaman Mandy Pullen

Olivia’s practice has evolved to encompass composition, solo and ensemble performance and creative facilitation. Over the last 15+ years, she has led creative workshops in a range of contexts from psychiatric units to abandoned cinemas, from orchestral halls to farms both here in the U.K. and in other places such as: India, West Africa, Indonesia, Japan and Bosnia.  In 2018 she founded Voice Yoga UK.

Olivia is leading two projects for WVRF: The Cosmos Within Us – a songwriting project exploring grief through our connection with nature and the night sky and The Mothers In All Weathers Choir – a choir of mothers who learn their songs whilst out walking.

Mandy is an eco shaman, astrologer, musician and keen gardener, based in the Forest of Dean. She has a background in teaching jazz and classical piano and singing. ‘Nature, being the visible face of spirit, is my ultimate teacher. Yet it is ‘venturing, in terms of perception, into the unknown’ which calls to a deep knowing of ourselves as natural beings in a wild universe that drives my inspiration.’

You need to come to both sessions to get the most out of the project, so your ticket include both dates. Spaces are limited so booking is essential. Tickets are £8 each, and include a vegetarian meal each time (dinner on 30th March, lunch on 6th April). To book, click here.
