FABRIC: Community Print Weekend

We welcome you to REDBROOK at St. Saviours Church on Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th April for a weekend of community printmaking!

This is a new, exciting project, The Yard Print Studio in partnership with the Wye Valley River Festival; exploring and weaving connection between the fabric of soil and community through the co-creation of a tablecloth as an artwork.

Come along, roll up your sleeves, get muddy and inky and connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for the environment; exploring the beauty of soil through printmaking.

Over the weekend we will be carving ready designed lino blocks as well as creating new ones all about earth, and printing the design with earthen pigment inks onto cloth. The cloth will become a tablecloth that will be part of various events at this year’s Wye Valley River Festival in May, where the theme is: the earth beneath our feet!

There will also be some ‘earth play’ with clay and earth pigment paints.

This event is FREE to attend and open to anyone, children are welcome.
