This piece will only happen twice, Its first outing will be a part of the first Diaspora Festival closing ceremony on May 6th and its final performance will be in the woods as part of WVRF24.
We are hoping to build on this project in coming years so if you are involved in a local dance group and would like to know more please join us on Saturday or get in touch: wyevalleyriverfest@gmail.com
Wye Woodland Song: Join Priscilla Andersohn for a singing workshop, no previous experience needed, just willingness, playfulness and an open heart.
This is a unique opportunity to share in explorative sound making amongst the trees of Wye woods, joining the subtle chorus of life’s audio textures, exploring singing, harmony, vocal play and collaboration, listening and sounds of nature.
Priscilla has used the wonders of improvisation in her creativity and song composition, which defines her relationship to her understanding of the world and people. This is how the roots of her music are formed, and it is in cooperation with others, letting go together into trust and emerging something unique, that she feels most at home.
