    And Now/ANawr presents Connect/Cysylltu

Part of our FREE We Weave the Woods event at Beechenhurst, Speech House Road, Coleford, GL16 7EJ throughout the weekend.

    Friday 10 May 5.30pm – 9pm

    Saturday 11 May 11am-9pm

    Sunday 12 May 11am-5pm

Festival veterans AndNow/ANawr present Connect/Cysylltu, a unique site-specific piece that will invite you to explore, imagine and experience. Inspired by the festival theme The Earth Beneath our Feet/Y Ddaear O Dan Ein Traed, this piece explores our tangled relationship to the natural world, our links to networks both human and mycelial and our human need to gather and celebrate.

This is a space for you to enter into the woods, an interactive, thoughtful and meditative installation, inviting you to sit, listen, engage and connect with the trees and each other over a cup of tea.

Tea will be served to visitors drawn from the large copper wood-fired Samovar (last seen in the Valley as part of WVRF216) creating an opportunity to talk with friends and strangers alike.

And Now: conceive, design and create visual performance, image and installations; allowing the site, context an ecology to shape the response, working with local and available resources, people, ideas, words, song, dance, fire, fireworks, structures, sound and light. Our work is perceptive, unexpected, accessible, entertaining, elemental, mostly outdoors, often ephemeral, very public and aims to encourage question and conversation.
