Guided dusk tour at RSPB Nagshead
WVRF and RSPB are joining forces to invite you to the woods at dusk, guided by the woodland manager as the evening chorus of thrushes subsides, we will listen out for the songs of nightingales serenading into the darkness. Tickets: £5.00–£11.00. More info here.
The RSPB say: Join us for a dusk walk around Highnam Woods listening for the stunning song of the nightingale. We will explore the areas of coppice woodland where you will learn more about the birds and our reserve management to help this enigmatic species. As the evening chorus of thrushes subsides, we will listen for the songs of nightingales serenading into the darkness. Start time 8pm.
Please wear suitable footwear for walking on woodland paths and wrap up warmly as it can be cold early in the morning/at night. There are no refreshments or toilets available, so you may wish to bring water. This event is not suitable for dogs.
Please try and arrive at least five minutes before the start of the walk so that we can begin on time. If you are running late or unable to come, please contact the walk organiser on 07850 713804.
